Friday, 10 November, 2017. MIP UMY conducted Public Lecture with the theme: Open Government and the Role of Communication and Information Technology for Better Public Service. The speaker at this event is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halimah Abdul Manaf as a visiting professor from Universiti Utara Malaysia and moderated by Dr. Phil. Ridho Al-Hamdi, MA as a lecturer of MIP UMY. The event was attended by participants consisting of SKPD or districts civil servants in Sleman and Bantul regencies as well as from IP, IGOV, MIP students. The purpose of this event is to strengthen cooperation between MIP UMY and COLGIS UUM. Furthermore, in public lectures Dr. Halimah explained how the Malaysian government is improving e-Government facilities to improve better public services in Malaysia. In addition, she explained about the Malaysian government began to develop the concept of Government Transformation or Called as T-Government. This public lecture concluded with a question and answer session for the speakers on the tips of e-government management that must be developed in Indonesia.
