Thursday, October 25, 2018. Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and Master of Government Affairs and Administration UMY received a visit from the National Civil Service Agency (NCSA) of the Republic of Indonesia which was held in the Chancellor Session Room of the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. Dr. Nano Prawoto, M.Si, as Vice Rector for Human Resources, opened this socialization and then followed the presentation of material by Catherin, S.Psi and Virginia, S.Psi., M.Sc. This visit aims to socialize a new program created by NCSA with the name A-EXPECS (ASEAN Pool of Experts System). A-EXPECS is a website-based expert management information system for the ASEAN level that is intended as a data bank that will be used as an exchange of information on expert data in countries throughout ASEAN, as well as a media for information on all ACCSM activities. NCSA through the A-EXPECS program acts as a pool for talent data inventories and public sector experts in ASEAN. A-EXPECS is also expected to be the birthplace of new talents and experts through the mechanism of talent talent forum. With the development of the A-EXPECS, NCSA as the management agency targets the achievement of equality and progress among ASEAN countries in the staffing system and in improving public services. In addition, it is expected that the existing experts are able to foster other expert candidates (Experts Creating Experts).
Catherina, S.Psi added “Although the A-EXPECS Program has not been officially launched and is still a prototype, NCSA believes this is a great opportunity to establish cooperation with ASEAN countries, one of which is through exchanging experts / experts to be invited to other countries as The speaker, with this socialization, is expected that UMY can recommend to experts in each of the areas of expertise set by NCSA ”
Eko Priyo Purnomo, M.Res., Ph.D as the Executive Director of the Cooperation and International Affairs welcomed the socialization of the NCSA and hoped that this program could be realized soon so that UMY could send experienced experts to participate in the exchange process of these experts. However, the focus is NCSA to ensure equality between academics from private universities and academics from governement ageny/civil servants.
