Lecture Seminar: Advance Public in Digital Economy

Monday, August 13, 2018. Master of Government Affairs and Administration UMY in collaboration with the International Program for Islamic Economic and Finance (IPIEF) of UMY and the Government Science UMY held a lecture seminar with theme “Advance Public in Digital Economy”. The speakers in this event is Diah S. Dewanti, PhD (Lecturer of International Program for Islamic Economic and Finance, UMY)  and Assoc. Prof. Somnuek Panyasing (KKU). Diah S. Dewanti, Ph.D explained the strategies and efforts of the people on the slopes of Mount Merapi, Yogyakarta to overcome the eruption disaster, through several collaborations between the government and local communities. Furthermore, not only that, the ability of grassroots to initiate ecotourism which was developed through zalacca commodities. Assoc. Prof. Somnuek through his research explained about “Collaborative Partnership and New Farm Management Facing Drought in the Northeast of Thailand”. This study aims to explore the collaborative form of partnerships between farm families, local peasant leaders and responsible local bureaucracy. Successfully obtained collaborative findings and collective efforts to manage agriculture were able to overcome drought in northeastern Thailand.
