Friday, May 26th, 2017. MIP UMY welcomes Assessors of Asia Pacific Society for Public Affairs accreditation which the team consists with Prof. Amporn Tamronglak, Prof Martadha Mohamed , and Prof. David Almarez from APSPA Board of Accreditation. This accreditation is a great opportunity for MGAA, where MGAA has prepared for more than six months before and working for it. MGAA has accomplished the highest performing accreditation from National Accreditation Board in December 2016 . Dr. Dyah Mutiarin as the chairperson of MGAA UMY explained that the tradition of excellence of UMY is known, MGAA does not just settle for these accomplishments. Thus the reason why MGAA is chosing to participate in the APSPA accreditation process.
In this visitation, MGAA hope that all the assessors will be able to assist MGAA-UMY from the lecturers as well as the students, show the certain things to be improved and what are the things that still not on the track. This visitation is a form of commitment, to build MGAA reputation internationally. APSPA accreditation is part of our internalization roadmap to get the recognition from international environment. Globalization in unavoidable. It is forcing us to meet the international standard for higher education institution. Many tools have been release to measure the international reputation of a university such as QS Stars, 4ICU, Webometrics and World University Ranking. All these measurements lead to a world class university obsession.
